Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Mr. and Mrs. Crabbe are enjoying their seaside vacation . . . until a certain dog blows away their umbrella with an enormous fart. Before long, Walter is banned from the beach. While stuck inside the beach house, Walter snacks on a sack of strange-looking tropical fruit labeled Cook Thoroughly. Meanwhile, Betty and Billy hunt for treasure out on a sandbar. As soon as they find a nickel, Mr. and Mrs. Crabbe elbow their way in. All four get marooned during high tide. Will Walter hear their cries for help? And why did that tropical fruit have to be thoroughly cooked?

5 out of 5 stars Walter Saves the Day Again!   November 4, 2008
Yvonne Gittelson (Goshen, MA United States)
This is another installment in the Walter series. Flatulent Walter faces relentless discrimination for his condition, but ultimately redeems himself every single time. Kids love fart humor, and you can't go wrong with farting dogs. Highly recommended to enjoy with your kids, nieces & nephews, grandkids, etc.--will bring much merriment all around!

An 8 year old boy reading about a farting dog. What better combination could you come up with? Funny story, highly recommended.

If you've never read the "Walter the Farting Dog" books, you are missing out. A little different from your traditional kids books; Walter's gas saves the day in each of the books in these series. Makes a great gift from dad's as it usually goes more with a dad's sense of humor :)!

5 out of 5 stars Cute book....started a new holiday tradition.   October 6, 2008

I purchase one of these books for my flatulent, 39 year old brother every year for Christmas. Each one is just as entertaining as the last. The whole family gathers around, while he reads it aloud and we all laugh until we cry.....and yes, there are adult beverages involved in this tradition. There's even a Walter, The Farting Dog stuffed animal available that certainly adds a nice touch to the family tradition. Anyway, I can't say that there is any great educational or moral value, it's just simple entertainment (emphasis on simple).

5 out of 5 stars Gassy dog is great for tinies.   April 29, 2008

This book, one of a series, is absolutely wonderful for four to six- year-olds. They are all at the bodily functions stage of self-interest, and this book is howlingly funny.
Also, whilst they are giggling, the stories teach them moral values, ethics and the importance of good behaviour.
Our little girl, five years old, never wearies of being read, and reading her Walter books, and of squeezing her fleecy Walter the Farting Dog !
HIGHLY recommended.
