Book Description It's summertime and the Wish Pond Road gang is getting ready to go to Camp Blue Lake. Mallory's not so sure she wants to go. What if she gets homesick or none of the other kids like her? Her best friends, Mary Ann and Joey, convince her how fun it will be to go swimming, boating, and roast marshmallows over a campfire. But when Mallory arrives at camp, nothing goes as planned. Will Mallory ever find a way to be a happy camper?

S'more Great Reading! May 27, 2008 Joyce Sweeney (Coral Springs, Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Laurie Friedman has done it again! Mallory is back, headed to summer camp and as usual, has a plan on how everything should work out...she'll bunk with her best friend Mary Ann and have wonderful adventures. And as usual, life throws her a curveball in the form of Carine, her bunk mate and oh, so annoying new friend. Friedman has such an ability to find stories that will resonate with kids. All the camp details are on point and the themes in this book are universal for kids and adults as well. Not to mention the fact that the book is fun, fun, fun! Pack this one in your duffel!
