4 out of 5 stars Good Deeds   August 13, 2007

The story is similar to Asope Fable, " The Slave and the Lion", where
good deeds are rewarded. I found the illustrations very artful and blended
nicely with the period of the story. The story is written in rhyme,
which my 6 year old grand daughter enjoyed, as we both read each page.
The book is 40 pages which I thought to be a little pricey. However,
The fun we had and the fact that she soon was able to read most of the
story herself, was worth more than the cost.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful and refreshing.   August 12, 2007

I found this to be a delightful book for children. It's an enjoyable story of a lost little boy who finds a friend in a firefly he names Aristotle. It was a refreshing story; a lesson in kindness children can apply in their daily life. I would strongly recommend this book for any parent, grandparent, or family member who enjoys reading to young children.

5 out of 5 stars Heart Warming!   August 8, 2007

After purchasing this book as a birthday gift for a friend's daughter I decided to read it first and was drawn in by the story line and was very satisfied with the positive message delivered by this book. As I do not often read childrens books, it was enjoyable to read a story in verse for a change and the illustrations complemented the story line. The underlying message in this book rekindles the spirit of kindness and compassion. I recommend this book for anyone with young children.

Midwest Book Review review gave "Aristotle: The Firefly's Message 5 STARSAristotle: The Firefly's Message

Mr. James A. Cox, Editor-in-Chief, of The Midwest Book Review, featured the "Aristotle: The Firefly's Message" review in their April 2007 issue of "Children's Bookwatch, Reviewers Choice." Mr. Cox also has provided the review to the Helen C. White Library's Cooperative Children's Book Center" (University of Wisconsin, Madison) to be made available to school and community librarians throughout Wisconsin's public school systems and community libraries as well as to the Thomson-Gale interactive CD-ROM series "Book Review Index" (published four times yearly for academic, corporate, and public library systems). The review will be archived on the Midwest Book Review website for the next five years.

'Aristotle: The Firefly's Message' makes a great gift for infants, babies, toddlers, tots, kids, children, young juveniles and also for parents, relatives or educators to read to children, and/or for English language learning adults. Recommended for all ages, advanced readers ages 4-12, and English language learning adults.
