Good Deeds August 13, 2007 Rober Tf Pierson 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The story is similar to Asope Fable, " The Slave and the Lion", where good deeds are rewarded. I found the illustrations very artful and blended nicely with the period of the story. The story is written in rhyme, which my 6 year old grand daughter enjoyed, as we both read each page. The book is 40 pages which I thought to be a little pricey. However, The fun we had and the fact that she soon was able to read most of the story herself, was worth more than the cost.

Wonderful and refreshing. August 12, 2007 Maria Griggs (bellingham, WA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found this to be a delightful book for children. It's an enjoyable story of a lost little boy who finds a friend in a firefly he names Aristotle. It was a refreshing story; a lesson in kindness children can apply in their daily life. I would strongly recommend this book for any parent, grandparent, or family member who enjoys reading to young children.
Heart Warming! August 8, 2007 David Reed 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After purchasing this book as a birthday gift for a friend's daughter I decided to read it first and was drawn in by the story line and was very satisfied with the positive message delivered by this book. As I do not often read childrens books, it was enjoyable to read a story in verse for a change and the illustrations complemented the story line. The underlying message in this book rekindles the spirit of kindness and compassion. I recommend this book for anyone with young children.
