Book Description

The rural town of Willows hides a secret only Horace and his new friends can unravel. With only nine days to solve the mystery of Horace s disappearance, thwart the malicious deeds of some unsavory teenagers, and uncover the significance of the Celestial Armillary these kids have to think outside the box and act fast.

Anyone interested in the mystical, the paranormal and particularly time travel will become a fan of nine average youngsters as they discover library books that hold secret messages, decipher intriguing riddles, and find that people can be more than they ever believed possible.

This ingenious time-morphing adventure makes you think twice about how time travel works.

From the back cover

As a kid it is hard enough to make true friends, particularly when you are repeatedly being uprooted, and moved half way around the world. If you look like a genius with your nose always stuck in a book it is even more daunting. So, when twelve-year-old Horace Neye and his older brother Alex find themselves in yet another new town, they have to start the tedious process all over again, but the tiny town of Willows is not like any other.

A chance encounter thrusts these brothers along a mystical path with no means to turn back. Horace and Alex, supported by seven newfound friends, experience events far beyond their wildest imaginations as they discover how electrifying it can be to get caught up in the elusive mystery that is time.

Things heat up when Horace vanishes and together these nine kids embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Despite their differences they grow and mature in their relationships, learn to accept each other s quirks, and act as partners to reshape events that might otherwise destroy an innocent girl s life. Against the odds, and embroiled in uncertainty they uncover the significance of the Celestial Armillary, the secrets of the Book Of Eventide, and the fate of the Keeper Of Time.

Get ready for an electrifying adventure. If you don't know what an armillary is, I am sure you will want one like Horace's (the Keeper of Time) after you read this book. Don't put it off!

This is an excellent choice for boys and girls (even adults who are young at heart).

The marvelously fascinating story draws you in and propels you right along side these nine intriguing children: Horace, the Keeper Of Time; Alex, the car enthusiast; Paige, the book lover; Keegan, the martial arts fan; Alyssa, the animal lover; Caelan, the artist; Dara, the computer whiz; Brina, the visionary; and Pepper, the skater. They are each very different, and that is what makes them so appealing. Everyone will find at least one character that they can relate to. The author has cleverly brought these kids together in a time-morphing adventure that shows us everyone is important and has something to offer. This is a wonderful life lesson for the real world.

Highly recommended!

A FANTASTIC READ! This book kept my attention right until the end - which turned out to be my favorite part!!!! The charaters are endearing, with depth and personality. The story deals with time in a new and completely different way. I can hardly wait until the next installment.
