Product Description Beneath every outer event is an inner event, sometimes buried deep in the cave of the world’s soul. During mythic times, magic and mystery boil close to the surface of reality, often bubbling into physical form in unexpected and terrifying ways. Kat, an American teen nursed more on the milk of computers and technology than on ancient traditions and myths, is dropped into the cauldron of such times and forced to confront a world on the brink of cataclysm. End Times threaten as the ancient Mayan calendar prepares to roll over to a new Great Age. Earthquakes have begun to shake apart the bones of the earth, splintering the boundaries that separate inner and outer worlds. Survival is at stake as creatures, never meant to know the light of day, step through from the Xibalban underworld into time. The only hope for transitioning this time of destruction into a time of rebirth rests with Kat and an unlikely group of shamanic allies, as they struggle to play this ballgame of life.

A gripping new Mayan mythology oriented action/adventure science fiction novel for young readers April 11, 2006 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
House Of The Jaguar by mythologist, systems analyst, internet marketer, and iconoclast C. Charles Coyle is a gripping new Mayan mythology oriented action/adventure science fiction novel for young readers. Engaging the reader from first page to last, House Of The Jaguar is a futuristic tale of Kat, an American teenager confined in her youth to the moderns of technology and the digital age, in her confrontation with a digressing, broken world as result of earthquakes and the release of an underworld creature, the Xibalban, and her alliance with shamanic tribesmen in an ultimate struggle for life. House Of The Jaguar is to be given high praise for its originality, and is very highly recommended as an intriguing read science fiction and fantasy enthusiasts.
