Product Description Bear is going to the swimming hole, but first he must find his friends. There's a clatter in the tree! Is it Mouse? No . . . "Who?" calls Bear. Something quickly scampers by! Is it Hare? No . . . "Who?" calls Bear. Someone seems to be hiding from Bear and his friends. Who is it? WHO? How Bear and his forest friends discover a NEW FRIEND will enchant young readers. Wonderful! June 13, 2008 jpwelch15 (Visalia, CA USA) This is a wonderful welcome addition to the Bear series, my family loves them and they are great for all ages.
Just really good April 2, 2008 5. Wars (socal) This author is just really really good. Not much more to say. Sweet story, easy and short, kids love it. Nothing too dramatic. GREAT illustrations. You just want to keep checkin' in with Bear and his new stories to see what's up. Can't go wrong, especially as a gift book.
Great book for young readers September 26, 2007 Kelli Shaver (Morehead, KY USA) We bought this for our 5yr old at a Scholastic book fair (much cheaper) and she loves it. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is cute and flows well. This is a great book for beginning readers who've mastered their basic sight words and are ready for something a little more. The rhyming verse and the visual clues, along with the simple sentence structure all provide great clues for figuring out new words. It also makes the book easy to read out loud.
love the bear books July 27, 2007 Mom of three (Seattle, Wa) This is another great bear book. My kids love them and I love reading them to the kids. The pictures are so nice, as well. A great addition.
Love it! May 10, 2007 Jenny (St. Paul, MN) I bought this book for my son a few weeks ago, and all my kids love it just as much as it's 3 predecessors. I admit, I'm the real fanatic in the family when it comes to the Bear Snores On series...I love the rhythm of the text and when the kids join in with the catch phrase that each book has "and the bear snores on", "the bear wants more", or, in this case "who?"...even though, they all know who the new friend is. Fabulous addition to your collection.
